Making sure your family is taken care of in case of your untimely death is SO important!
A friend of mine recently lost her father and she would tell you that it is hard enough to suffer such a devastating loss but add the stress of no will to the equation and it is horrible.
If you do not have a will it can lead to excessive costs, fighting between family members, legal battles and much more stress for the surviving family.
DO YOU HAVE LIFE INSURANCE? WILL IT BE ENOUGH TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR FAMILY? ARE YOU LEAVING DEBT TO YOUR FAMILY? IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN WHO WILL TAKE CARE OF THEM? WHAT ARE YOUR WISHES FOR A FUNERAL OR CELEBRATION OF LIFE?
These are all important questions to ask yourself and be sure to have included in your will. If you already have a will, when did you last update it? Does someone know where it is?
I know that I personally don’t want to leave anything to chance. I have a will, my husband has a will, my executor has a copy of both and other family members know where to find it should the worst happen. This is also a great reminder as to why you should have an Emergency Fund.
I hope everyone reading this post lives a long and happy life but has the protection of a will just in case.
